3 Sweaters for In & Out of the Office

corporate style blogger

I used to never mix and match my workwear with my non-workwear until recently. I used to keep my office outfits completely separate from my out of office outfits. But now I love the idea of mixing casual sweaters with dressy pants and a sleek loafer or a blazer with mom jeans. The combination is so unlikely that it just works.

By now I’m sure you know my motto of shopping smarter not harder, so today I’m sharing 3 sweaters that work in and out of the office. I mean, who wouldn’t want to wear stuff multiple times in multiple ways, right?

I love this sweater so much I have it in two colors. To be honest this outfit was thrown together at the last minute and I was surprisingly happy with how it turned out. I thought the navy looked sharp with the grey trousers for work. Out of the office I’d wear the sweater with black faux leather pants, overalls, or jeans.

The shoes are another item that can go either way: in or out of the office. They were a phenomenal find from years ago but I wish I got a bigger size because they are so uncomfortable.

Style tip: Buy pointed toe shoes, sneakers, and boots a half size bigger. You can always make them smaller with inserts and thicker socks but you can never make them bigger.

This is one of my favorite outfits ever. Typically I’d wear this sweater with blue girlfriend jeans and Stan Smiths but for a more office appropriate look I paired it with cigarette pants from Zara. The loafers pull the whole look together.

Style tip: Make sure your pants are cropped right above your ankle bone because it’s the thinnest part of your leg and is super flattering.

This is one of my favorite outfits of all time. This is the perfect outfit for a Friday at the office, depending on how strict your dress code is, you can pair your sweater with distressed jeans like I did. I also love this look with black coated jeans or overalls.

Style tip: Tuck the front of your shirt in for a Mary-Kate and Ashley, cool girl vibe.

What is your favorite place to shop for sweaters?
