How to Wear a Chunky Knit in Spring

I find “spring” in March to be kind of an awkward stage style wise. It’s not really warm or sunny enough to brave it without a coat and if you do wear a coat it’s super lightweight and you’re still cold, totally not practical but most of the time fashion isn’t. With that said, I wanted to put together some practical outfits for this transitional spring season. Since spring is still chilly it is totally acceptable to wear a chunky knit sweater or other pieces you might wear in the fall/winter months. Here’s how that works…

I think a chunky knit for spring looks best with medium to light wash distressed jeans. Your eye is really drawn to the jeans here, which was my point and because of the distress it gives the look a nice transitional season feel.

I added the hat because it rains a lot this time of year and the hat adds a nice touch. Yes, it’s from Bebe from forever ago. I was pleasantly surprised to see a hat that looks more Urban Outfitters at Bebe for only $20. That’s right the hat was a bargain as is most of my wardrobe. Lastly, those booties are the best things in life. They are super affordable and surprisingly comfortable and reminiscent of the Isabel Marant’s version, which are not so affordable for the average person.

What do you wear during this season? Tell me in the comments below.
