The Ultimate Traveler’s Guide: Disney World

disney epcot canadaThe photo quality of my ultimate traveler’s guide to Disney isn’t the best but it’ll have to suffice considering I only had enough room to bring my iPhone and credit cards. Thank you iPhone for allowing me to capture these magical moments, literally Disney is the best place on earth.

Magic Kingdom

Magic Kingdom is the biggest kingdom so there’s a lot to do, but these are some of my favorites…

It’s a Small World ride – the details of the set design are so intricate, colorful, and classic, made in 1966

Pirates of the Caribbean ride – my favorite ride because it’s pretty slow, entertaining, and fun

Swiss Family Treehouse – the idea of an adult treehouse is amazing and this attraction doesn’t disappoint

Main Street Electrical Parade – I have no idea how they have entire floats covered in lights, if you go early enough you can get a front row spot and see all your favorite characters lit up

Wishes Nighttime Spectacular – the Magic Kingdom puts on an outstanding light show with scenese from your favorite Disney movies and fireworks

Animal Kingdom

This is probably my favorite park because you really feel like you’re in another world with all the animals and nature.

The Lion King show – hands down one of the best shows I’ve ever seen with fire breathing, acrobatic amazingness

White rafters water ride – great, easy ride, but bring a poncho!

Safari jungle ride – you ride for about 10-15 minutes through a safari filled with elephants, hippos, giraffes, lions, you name it

Hollywood Studios

Indiana Jones – this show is jam packed with action all happening right in front of your eyes, plus some humor here and there which is fun for the adults

Rock’n Rollercoaster – ok not one of my favorites because I hate rides BUT I conquered my fear and did it, definitely the best ride for a thrill seeker

Fantasmic – a combination of water works and fireworks, Fantasmic is Disney’s recreation of Mickey’s Fantasia

Epcot

No matter what you do you can’t go wrong in Epcot, just make sure you hit every “country”. Epcot is my second favorite park in Disney.

Mexico boat ride – you wouldn’t know this ride existed if you didn’t walk all the way to the back of Mexico, the exhibit of beautiful colors and architecture make you think you’re really there

Japanese acrobat show – this show is amazing and plays throughout the day in “Japan”

IllumiNations: Reflections of the Earth – a beautiful display of fireworks on the water

Food

Anywhere in the parks is going to have food. The best places I’ve found have been in Epcot and Downtown Disney.

Boulangerie Patisserie – you must go to this bakery in France, the desserts are delectable

Teppan Edo – located in Japan you’ll get the best bang for your buck with a great Asian fusion menu

Fulton’s Crab House – located in Downtown Disney, it’s a little pricey but all the fish is freshly caught and you are right on the water with a great view

Orlando

I’ve really only been to these two places, both of which didn’t disappoint.

Howl at the Moon – a fun, engaging bar that has live music and they pull audience members to participate in games

ICEBAR Orlando – great music, great drinks, great atmosphere, you can hang in the ice bar where everything is made of ice… even the glasses!
