Top 5 Flats You Need for the Office

I never thought I was a shoe person until I ran out of room on my shoe rack, go figure. So I guess now that makes me the stereotypical girl with tons of shoes that she never wears, except there’s a twist. I actually do wear all of my shoes because, well, I have to.

I go to work every day and to avoid my style getting stale I try to at least switch up my shoes. It’s amazing how shoes can completely transform an outfit.

Anyway, a few weeks ago a sweet reader, Roberta asked for a post on shoes to wear to work. So here we are. Thanks Roberta! (P.s. Guys, I love requests so comment on my Insta, email me, or write me in the comments anything you want to see and I’ll do it!)

blogger black loafers

Loafers are my go-to work shoe. Partly because I work in NYC and I need to wear flats and partly because I’m a bit of a tomboy and I love the masculine element.

These are by far my favorite shoes for work and they were only $20! Mango had a similar pair that were all leather and going for $100+ so I found a more affordable alternative.

zara two tone flats

These are a close second favorite flat for work. I love the two-tone and elongated front of the shoe, it adds cool depth. These shoes are ridiculously comfortable, however they were inexpensive (of course) and it shows. They faux suede gets messed up pretty easily so you just have to wear them cautiously.

zara patent leather flats

This is another pair of shoes whose price is going to sting a little. They were originally $70 and I got them for $20. I love the silver buckle detail which really makes them stand out with any outfit for work.

My only complaint is that I’m constantly adjusting the strap in the back. It always falls down but it’s a small price to pay for the small price I paid for the shoes.

zara black fur sliders

When you can’t afford those Gucci loafers you buy… these. I got gorgeous faux fur sliders on sale at Zara. I had had my eye on them for SO long before I finally took the plunge, and I’m glad because they sold out super quick.

I wear these anytime I wear pants that aren’t black. I try not to be so monochromatic all the time so a neutral pant, like the olive ones above ,or a pair of jeans look really nice together.
