This year will be my first ever Fancy Nancy holiday party and I am frantic about what to wear. I’ve been to holiday parties before, but NYC holiday parties are, like, on a whole other level. I’m envisioning lots of sparkle, dresses, pumps, a dark atmosphere, silver and gold, and David Beckham hand feeding me vegetarian sliders. No? Ok well, a girl can dream. I’m also dreaming about these gorgeous outfits, one of which I will be definitely wearing, (and Snapping) for the holiday party.
I think this is the sexiest holiday party look. The sparkle isn’t too much where you look like a disco ball, but it’s just enough where you give off the “festive af” vibe. The side slit is just enough sex appeal where your coworkers will think ‘Damn!’ not ‘Damn, she’s a slore!’
The shoe height is my limit in terms of height; now that I’m entering the grandma era I can’t do anything above 4″. Sorry!
And the Gucci bag has been on my radar for so long. It’s a great grab and go bag and at any holiday party you want to be hands free, (aka not carry a bag on your arm the whole night).
If you’re not feelin’ a dress and you don’t want to wear pants, go for a sleek skirt. For this holiday look I would tuck the front of the turtleneck into the front of the skirt for a half undone look. I was thinking of the Olsen twins when I put this look together. I absolutely love it and I hope you do too!
This holiday party look was inspired by one of my very chic coworkers (perks of working in NYC – there’s style inspo everywhere). She wore a black turtleneck with black wide leg pants like the ones above with a sleek back pony tail… so good! Ugh. She looked stunning.
This look is a holiday version of that, with the shimmery onesie and metallic clutch. The top is just low enough where it’s still appropriate for an office party. The rest of the outfit isn’t showing any skin so you can get away with a lower cut top. Usually when one piece of your outfit is tight, I try to counteract it with a looser opposite. So tight top, loose bottoms, loose top, tight bottoms.
Which look is your favorite? They’re all so good but I think mine is look 2.
