Style File Friday | Danielle of D’s Moments

danielle wittigName: Danielle Wittig (D’s Moments)

Age: 24

Location: Born and raised in Las Vegas, NV. Currently moving from Chicago, IL to Orange County! Crazy time in my life, but I am so happy to be back on the West Coast!

Q: How/why did you get into blogging?

After graduating with my Bachelor’s Degree in Communications I wanted to apply what I learned about writing and interpersonal relationships to the digital space and I’ve always loved taking photos, creating pretty images, and putting different looks together. So, I really wanted a platform to express not only my love for fashion and others but also a space to document life’s moments! I decided blogging would be able to encompass all of these aspects of myself that I was hoping to express!

Q: What’s the most important aspect of what you do?

Connecting with others is definitely the most important part of the blogging world for me. Yes, creating looks is super fun but at the end of the day I really hope to inspire others and relate to my followers on a more personal level.

dwittigQ: How do you set yourself apart in a saturated market?

Simply being myself. There may be a lot of bloggers out there but staying true to yourself is always going to stand out more than if you are just trying to do what everyone else is doing. I truly love blogging… being passionate about the things I post and talk about is something that I believe is always going to shine through!

Q: What is the best advice you’ve ever gotten?

My dad always reminds me to “Be kind, for everyone is fighting their own battle.” Being a kind person is so important to me, I truly believe that being kind to everyone around you solves most of life’s problems. And you never know whose life you’re going to touch by simply extending a kind word to them.

Q: What has been your biggest mistake regarding your work?

Being consistent. Sometimes I go days or weeks without posting or connecting with my followers, it’s terrible! I am really working on being consistent with my content.

Q: What would you tell someone just starting in the digital world

Be patient. It doesn’t happen over night. It’s going to take a lot of time and work so make sure what you’re posting is stuff you’re passionate about! Don’t compare yourself to others… look to others for inspiration rather than wishing you could have their following, take photos like them, etc. It’s a such an awesome world to be in when you focus on yourself, connecting with others, and growing as a person within your work! Also, set goals for yourself for where you want to be within the digital world. Dream big!

ds momentsQ: Where do you see blogging headed in the future?

In the future, I see companies almost totally doing away with traditional advertising and reaching out to bloggers even more to help grow their brands. I see a lot of bloggers starting to really express themselves and share the good and not so good moments of life which is amazing because it creates a positive place for people to turn to to feel like they are not the only ones going through something. I only see blogging getting bigger and better!
