What to Wear | for a Minimalistic & Polished Look

2015 spring street style

This is the easiest and my most favorite way to dress: minimalistic. Contrary to popular belief, I’m a very simple, minimal, less is more kind of girl… especially when it comes to style. I hate clutter and I hate when there’s too much going on with a look. Getting dressed should be easy and fun. When it doubt, KISS is out (keep it simple stupid).

The most classic and polished look to date is a silk white blouse, slightly tucked in with a slim cigarette pant, and sleek mules. As I’ve gotten older I’ve gotten smarter about how I shop. I no longer jump at what’s “in” or “trendy” for the moment, I go for functional, timeless, classic pieces.

This outfit is just that. Super polished and classic. I’ve had this shirt for years and it has never failed me. The jeans and mules are relatively new I must admit, BUT I never get rid of denim because no matter what fit – they always comes back in style. I have no excuse for the mules, they were cheap and I love them.

Once mules go out of style you can swap them out for a sleep black pointy toe pump for that same minimalistic and polished look… those are timeless. Add a classic red lip and you’re good to go.
