What to Wear | With a Denim Skirt

I’d never thought I’d see the day, but I should know better by now that what goes around comes back around, especially in fashion. So here I find myself writing about what to wear with a denim skirt, (something I never thought I’d own after the 90s). I fell particularly in love with this pencil style. I find it harder and harder to rock a mini that actually covers more than the bare mini, so pencil/mid-length skirts are my new go-to. Once you’ve found a denim skirt that works well for you, (hourglass shape = pencil style skirt, boxy figure = 70’s style pyramid mini), you’ll probably find yourself like I did… ‘Now what do I wear with it?’. So far I’ve only found 2 ways that really work for this style skirt:

1. with a chambray top (I wear this shirt so much it’s starting to rip; see here and here)
2. with a white, subtle peplum or billowy top

As for the shoes, anything goes as per usual so I went for a nude mule that really accentuated my lobster color legs, (yes, I hate to admit it, but I fell asleep on my stomach and am now in excruciating pain from sunburn on the backs of my legs). I was going for a 70’s vibe here which is another reason I went for the shoes I did.
